Chrysanthemums are popular fall flowers in North America:
They are usually sold in pots, and people put them out as fall decorations along with pumpkins and such.

Oh thank you.
Here locally mums are considered mourning flowers, and are often brought to decorate cemeteries, in particular on Nov 1st.
They are very beautiful.

Somewhere in my garden or possibly the track or sheep fields there is a hidden nest of eggs we can't find.
1 chook on particular is the cause of the problem, so didn't get let out until she had lain in the nest box today. Boy did she complain loudly for 6 hours until she gave in and laid her egg where she is meant to. We repeat the process tomorrow and everyday until we find that hidden nest or she gets the idea!

It was sunny and warm enough for the chicks to have 5 minutes out playing in the dirt today. We did the same yesterday.
And I found the shingleback in the tomato cage and spotted the Cunningham's skink at the garage door again. Life is waking up.

No but we love radishes in our salads
The side salad goes with kumara chips and korean type chicken. I've precooked the chips and chicken and it looks yummy.
