I had a shetland as a kid. His name was Prince since he had a crown shaped white mark on his face.
Our government have now stopped the daily press conferences. I wonder where they got that idea from. It doesn't surprise me, as most of them have been embarrassing, with various untalented ministers trotting out much the same meaningless drivel. It's been increasingly clear that the scientific advisers that appear have been told pretty much to keep their opinions to themselves. One brave soul, Jonathan Van-Tam, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, has "mysteriously" disappeared after he was critical of the odious Dominic Cummings and the notorious affair of the jaunts around the country.
We are now on the verge of major re-openings of shops, pubs and other places. The whole thing strikes me as a recipe for disaster. Despite the scientists reminding us that this is not a cue for normality to return, it's hard to imagine that there won't be a substantial proportion of the population who think that they can do just as they like.
I saw a report about a tennis tournament in Croatia: New Coronavirus Cases Linked to Tennis Tournament in CroatiaThe Croatian government implemented what Oxford University declared were the toughest restriction in the world. The graph will show you how wonderfully it worked. Then they opened the borders we are back to square one. NB restaurant were not opened or indoor bars etc View attachment 42428
Yes, it's crazy that you would not want to see one of the true wonders of the world. When you see it for the first time, you will understand. You can see it from the US side. Life is too short for you to miss something that's not too far away to enjoy.Very nice! Should I, as an Ohio boy who's also lived in NY and who loves to travel, be ashamed that I've never been to Niagara Falls?
Does that mean your dad's surgery is off for now?
Actually mate the graph shows two days when it went from 0 new cases to nine, those 18 people were all Croatians who had visited family in Serbia. Bosnia and Slovenia. The fourteen day quarantine for returning residents had been taken off. The other interesting spike weeks before was caused by a Priest from the Island of Brac. He received medical attention in Split, he returned with the symptoms and held a mass against the law. 35 people at the mass caught the virus. There had only been one case recorded on the Island at the start of the epidemic. The Island was put into quarantine again, no more cases.I saw a report about a tennis tournament in Croatia: New Coronavirus Cases Linked to Tennis Tournament in Croatia
This was the scene on June 21st....this year. If someone wants to crack the case of why they had a spike in cases, look no further:

Where would be the best place to see the falls? Us or can?

I would have also said Canada before I went this year. I had been across to the US side after traveling through Canada before, but I didn't spend much time before this year. Here's what I will say as a comparison, because the differences are much more than just the view (which I think is beautiful on either side):Canada, in my opinion. And there are some great hotels overlooking the Horseshoe Falls in Canada.
Two years before my mother passed away, I took her to the falls and we had a room on the 30th floor of the Marriott overlooking the falls. She had never been there before. She was 86 years old. She sat at the table by the window, mesmerized for several hours, just staring out the window, as we shared a bottle of wine. It was truly spectacular. At night they have a colorful lighting of the falls that's quite nice. That was one of the best trips I have ever taken.
Sounds like you need a dog.You guys talking about dogs gave me a laugh, daughters dog is medium size about 8, is a sook. He's sleeping beside me here on the couch, his legs are shaking and jumping. I think he dreaming of chasing a rabbit. Funny thing you mention about dog clipping their feet, daughter has same trouble, she tried a few weeks ago and dog was shivering and shaking like hell. I said that's not normal. I've bred German shepherds so know about dogs. She said he's shocking, when she last took him he was that frightened he wet the floor. Daughters going to get a mobile piufit out to wash him and do his feet. Not her problem then, lol. He's a really nice dog, I will miss him when they move.

I love Goat Island. I stayed away from the kitschy area of the Falls where they had the amusement park and wax museum, that's where the kids like to go. Every time I have been to Niagara Falls I explored all of the areas that were more attuned to nature.I would have also said Canada before I went this year. I had been across to the US side after traveling through Canada before, but I didn't spend much time before this year. Here's what I will say as a comparison, because the differences are much more than just the view (which I think is beautiful on either side):
Canadian Side:
The city area is set up like a massive amusement park, but with an important improvement: excellent restaurants and pubs. There are so many fun things to do as you walk toward where the Falls are. Now, be honest: if I didn't tell you which side was which, you would have thought that this was the American side, right? So would I.

American Side:
What I missed out on in my previous trips to the Falls was Niagara Falls State Park. Here, there are hiking trails, and various other views of the Falls.
I have also included a video of my dog - Pepper - who apparently has some previous issues with Nikolai Tesla: he went nuts, barking at the statue, when we took him there the first time. Just as a test, we took him back the next day, and he had the same reaction. I guess he likes Thomas Edison better.

The US a single-day record for new coronavirus cases. More than half the states were seeing increases in the rate of new cases. Multiple states were dealing with record numbers of coronavirus hospitalizations. Texas had announced hours earlier that it had to shut down in-person service at its bars again.
Vice President (AKA: Trump's Poodle) Mike Pence told Americans that things were going well.
At a Friday press briefing by the White House's coronavirus task force, the first in nearly two months, task force leader Pence painted a rosy picture of a country steadily getting safer and back to normal.
That is delusional. It should be obvious, but millions of people seem to believe it. My parents believe it. A good Christian Republican wouldn't lie. Besides, Trump and Pence are naming judges to the Supreme Court who will overturn Roe V Wade. A little inside information for you Brits... that is why Evangelical Christians support Trump in spite of his well documented moral failings. Trump knows how to play them better than anyone. Find out their greatest desire, give it to them, and you own them.
If we wouldn't have rushed the process of re-opening the economy, and taken baby steps instead of leaps, this pandemic could have been well on it's way to being "manageable." Yes, I want to get back to normal. But, I'd like to do it one time, even if it takes longer. Like the old saying goes, if there's not time to do it right, where will you find the time to do it over.
Okay, rant off. I feel better.

Testing, that's your problem. Too much testing means too many cases. Hey, you there, Fake News, are you writing this down? No testing means no cases. Simple. The US a single-day record for new coronavirus cases. More than half the states were seeing increases in the rate of new cases. Multiple states were dealing with record numbers of coronavirus hospitalizations. Texas had announced hours earlier that it had to shut down in-person service at its bars again.
