How is the corona virus affecting you?

Each pharmacy location has to have people on staff qualified to give shots. All pharmacists are qualified, but I don't know about all pharmacy techs.

CD
I talked to the pharmacy employees on the phone. They were just booked solid for at least 10 days in advance, and they only had a certain amount of vaccines in stock. They told me to keep trying, saying the best time to find an appointment was early in the morning.

Full hard lockdown until at least Jan 14.

-Restaurants, bars, hotels, entertainment, cultural sector, non essential stores : closed
-All schools for all ages and child day cares closed
-No sports competitions, no public events, no large gatherings outside
-Closed barbers, physiotherapists and other close contact services
-Closed day care for disabled and mentally ill people
-No more than 4 visitors allowed at home
-No more than 4 people of the same household outside

Booster shots should be administered to everyone who wants one before february. But only 1.5 millon people have been vaccinated in the whole of December, yet they assume they will vaccinate 9 million in January.. I don't think so given their track record.
And this is all going to last till march, given their track record.

Well, the Netherlands made US News on Covid given what Windigo states here.

Canada will be doing something similar soon I predict. Provincial lockdowns are ramping up now. I mentioned in a previous post what Ontario is doing.

A little perspective: The Netherlands have had about 3 million cases of covid19 from the outset and they're population is around 17 million. As we know we can predict how many cases are actually in the population based on that 3 million number because the 3 million are only cases found through actual testing and the real number is basically 4 times that amount, for low, and that is around 12-15 million people have been in contact with covid19.

Daily cases of infected people have steadily come down from November 23rd with around 22,000 daily infected to around 14,000 December 19th with about 1400 deaths associated with most if not all of those deaths attributed to the Delta variant and a total of 20,468 from the beginning. Deaths are generally indicated 2 or 3 weeks after ICU which is coming up next week for most Countries where omicron is the dominant variant, so we'll see where that goes very soon.

I suspect and this is just my opinion but with the widespread infection of covid within the population and with that comes natural immunity that we know is better than vaccinated immunity with having both giving much more protection. I suspect that deaths will not climb anywhere near the Delta percentages and if the data from many Countries now is close to reality the Netherlands will see a steady decline in deaths. Like I've said from the beginning cases don't mean as much, considering it so under estimated to the reality plus hospitalizations and death are solid numbers that we can see, so those are the numbers that are relevant and not cases, even though that is all your going to hear about over normal media channels I'm sure. But I've been proven wrong so many times with covid.......it's the continual waves that seem to wash over my predictions but I'm hoping this is going to be the last big wave and I'll be proven correct this time.....yes famous last words, lol cheers.

Canada/Netherlands quick comparison.

Population:
Canada: 38 million
Netherlands: 17 million

Covid19 cases:
Canada: 1,883,217
Netherlands: 2,980,003

Deaths:
Canada: 30,045
Netherlands: 20,468

Considering the land mass differences where Canada is the second largest Country in the world and I can motorcycle across the Netherlands in less than a day. The Netherlands is densely populated with 1 million more cases but 10,000 less deaths with half the population basically of Canada. I can see now why people might be freaking out in the Netherlands. Density I believe is a big factor within a small overall landmass with a good amount of cases. Yes that would freak most people out. Deaths are so much less than Canada considering the cases count. I suspect that most people from the Netherlands are in better overall physical condition than Canada, or the high amount of natural immunity but this is just a quess, based on the number of bicycles....j/k Cheers

The main problem is the lack of ICU capacity. We have 1350 spots MAXXED out, in the entire country with these numbers of infections and hospitalizations. Thats why our system can't cope.

Every Country talks about the same thing. Lockdowns and elective surgery generally are the first to be prioritized to accommodate any surges from case spikes. The Netherlands have about 100 IUC beds available. Right now about 595 covid patients are occupying ICU beds.

My point is, none of us can say that we KNOW. We do not know. It might be quite some time before we know, especially you and I, not being doctors or scientists. We only can speculate for the time being.

We do know being infected with covid19 has given natural immunity to that popuation. The dispute seems to be in the USA where they want everyone vaccinated and don't recognize natural immunity, that's a political matter that I don't bother with, but the rest of the world has accepted natural immunity.

I am not being political.

I do know someone who has not been vaccinated that has been infected with Covid-19 three times and gotten smacked on her ass all three times, sick as a dog and couldn't go to work. Not in the hospital, but she was an otherwise healthy individual (who now experiences fatigue and shortness of breath regularly). Still, for some odd reason, she won't get the vaccine. I think she is not a very sensible person.

The rest of the world has accepted natural immunity as being superior to vaccines, is that what you are saying? Every other country in the world has adopted the view that natural immunity is superior to the vaccine except the US? Even if they have, it doesn't make it true, it's just what they THINK.

The science is out there to read that compares both. Reinfection and breakthrough infections are normal and the science was quite aware of that right from the get go. Nobody is saying that natural or vaccine immunity is 100% effective, because it never has been with covid19.

Try not dying on a sword for what you believe to be true because I've learned with 20 years of scientific investigation of nutrition that you will be proven wrong over and over again and that is exactly how I look at this virus. I've changed my personal opinion on so many issues with covid19 that I stopped counting, including this one. Cheers.

That's interesting, as I was a rep for two different nutritional companies over the past years as well and have studied the field quite extensively, and I do have medical training as well. This does not make me an expert on anything. I have come to different conclusions (excuse me, opinions) than you on a few things.

You are entitled to your opinion and beliefs from what you read, that was never my issue with your post. You are still missing my entire point. It was your choice of words (below):
"...with the widespread infection of covid within the population and with that comes natural immunity that we know is better than vaccinated immunity..."

My point is, "We" don't know. You can always speak for yourself and state your opinions, but you should not speak for others. I am sure I am not the only person who thinks this.

Question: Furthermore, if the US thinks that everyone should be vaccinated and we don't recognize natural immunity, then why are our vaccination rates so low?

Answer: Because it's not true. It is NOT the opinion of everyone, apparently.

Oh also? I don't intend on throwing myself on any swords, thank you.

I agree, never ever take the opinion of random people on the internet like you or me as the truth.

Which points of Dr. Moran and Dr Campbell above do you have issue with, just curious, and this is just friendly conversation because it's not worth creating a tribal situation of who is right or wrong. Looking for truth is my main goal.

Oh, and having some nutritional conversation would be great in PM if you want.

I am not a mean-spirited or petulant person and I don't get angry or miffed over stuff like this. I like interesting conversation and sometimes cordial debate. I certainly won't behave childishly and put you on "ignore" or block you over having an opinion different than mine, LOL.

I don't have audio on my computer so I have no idea what they said.

I have to leave for work, have a great day!

I know you wouldn't and I edited my previous post. Cheers.
