How to ruin a hot dog!!

I’ve had a look and the frankfurters I buy do have “natural sheep casing” so that explains the snap.
They are really the only frankfurters I like for hot dogs.

I will eat others but I don’t get the same joy from them, unless they’re smothered in the works!

I have cookingbites to thank for introducing me to the chilli dog.
They were a mahoosive hit with the boys.
They require a smaller amount of chilli than just making chilli con carne on its own and that’s kinda handy when you’re tired. They feel like bad food that makes you feel good!

I’m diabetic and hot CC dogs are one of the worst things to eat. Never been a big fan of them but would grill some once or twice a year. Once the skill starts to bc split they are perfect for me. I have a friend that loves them. But if it doesn’t have any black skin he says they are not cooked properly.

We make chili for a meal, then use part of the leftovers for chili dogs. We plan it that way.

You and your friend would like "rippers."

I will never forget when I took DD and DGDs to a local to them tourist spot they had been wanting to visit. We decided to get lunch there. It was diner food. Youngest DGD, 5 or 6 then, was an extremely picky eater and the only thing even on the kid's menu she would eat was a hot dog. So, we ordered that for her. It came out and was a ripper. She looked at it, then looked up at me and her mom with this horrified expression on her face. We had to send it back and ask for a hot dog cooked the regular way. I still can't believe they would cook hot dogs for kids that way, especially in a place where people don't expect them to be cooked like that. We teased DGD about that look for a long time after.
