Plans for today (2019-2022)

Done the demo..And done as much non fun stuff as I am going to do today..It is supposed to be a day off..An early light beer should reduce my ambition and desire to work any more..I may go and chip away at some ice in the drive way..warm spell today so water is starting to back up in the garage entrance..

I didn't exactly plan it, but I cleaned the bathrooms today. I was supposed to work but we got a lot of rain and wind, and today's assignment involved taking exterior photos of a building, so wasn't a good day for that. At least the last of the snow piles finally melted over the past few days. Got a little bit of a wintry mix tonight but nothing too bad.

Tomorrow light winds, cloudy, no rain.

BTW, I once had to come up with a quick costume for a Halloween party, and I had a beard at the time, so I went as Norm (pronounced Nom). Jeans, plaid flannel shirt, tool belt and work boots. Out of about fifty people at the party, I think two people got it.

We’re meant to drive the 75 minutes over to see my dad for his birthday (last week). We’re having a little party for him at a local restaurant.

Thing is, I worked overnight for quite a while, I’m dog-tired, and it’s cold out this morning - 20F with windchill of 5F, blowing snow, and ice (-7c/-15c). Would you believe it was 75F just a few days ago?

Anyway, I don’t like making that drive on a good day, let alone when it’s blowing out like it is and I’m so tired my eyes hurt. I’m really hoping my dad looks out his window and says, “I ain’t gettin’ out in the crap!” Then we can just reschedule it and I can like around watching bad Italian horror movies from the ‘70’s, like I want. :laugh:
 
I received a letter this morning from The House of Commons, so opened it with interest.
Turns out my local MP Lee Anderson wants me to add my name to a petition about the poor state of mobile phone reception in our area.
Lee is a good guy educated locally with his community at heart so I will be sending him an email giving my views on the situation.
 
Sunday here so family day. That was until half an hour ago.
D.i.l just rung. Their youngest has covid? Well symptoms. She Is picking up rat tests.
Rolled shoulder of lamb will be Sammy's and shepherds pie.
