Sunday here so I'm taking wife for lunch in country about 40 mins away.

I didn't have the gumption to make scratch bread, so I opted for a boxed qucik bread and made jumbo pumpkin & walnut muffins.

Still a little warm and very nice with a cup of coffee for an afternoon snack.

First day of Spring (Vernal Equinox) was today in the Northern hemisphere.

Plans for Sunday. Get up WAY too early to go to a photographer's meeting at Texas Motor Speedway. I'm am shooting an Indycar race as a favor to a customer, and the meeting is required -- and is at 8AM. That's four hours before the pre-race ceremony. I'll have to leave my house at 6:30AM.

It is an oval track race, so I have very little interest in it, and it is going to be hard to get visually interesting shots.

I never got the appeal of oval raving, it does seem to be particularly boring, but the crashes tend to be quite spectacular.

It is certainly a challenge to photograph. They do 220MPH (355KPH) on the oval tracks.
