I’ve got the opposite wall in the kitchen ready for paint, now I just need to run into town and get the materials.
Take the car..You look funny when you run....I’ve got the opposite wall in the kitchen ready for paint, now I just need to run into town and get the materials.
I'm getting myself ready to head out for the day.
On the list:
Stop into the Home Improvement store to order our new dishwasher
Drop off some homemade Black Bean Soup to two of my Gal Pals
Go over to my Mother's apartment in the Senior Living Community to assist her in bathing and washing her hair ... I just got Mom out of the hospital after 4 days in the joint. I asked her to wait for me to help with getting cleaned up, just in case ... she's still a little unsteady.
I was going to ask how Dad is ... and what about Mom? How's she doing?Dad is still in the hospital. I don't want him to go home until we know for sure he is good to go. I don't want him to go home, and be back in the hospital a day or few later. My dad really needs a shower and a shave. We are lobbying the male nurses to help him get a shower as soon as possible. The shave will have to wait.

Ditto! My parents had the foresight to create a trust and fund it well.Mom is doing fine. She is gaining confidence that she can get along on her own. I spent some time with her every day I was down there, and was impressed with how well she was taking all of this.
Dad will probably leave the hospital Friday or Saturday. We have arranged for him to go to the rehab facility at their retirement community when he gets out. He will be transported there, and they can work with him every day for a few weeks, to get him stronger and more stable before he goes back to the apartment. My mom will be able to visit him every day, too.
My parents are fortunate. My dad is a retired oil executive (President of a Fortune 500 company), so money is not a problem. They can afford to have the best possible care. I feel for people going through the same things who don't have those deep pockets. My sister's status at the hospital he is in also gets him special treatment.
