Plans today...it's Wednesday, so that means laundry. Then there's work, of course, and the menu planning I didn't get to yesterday, and probably a few more vacation-planning tasks.

Pretty much the same as yesterday, apart from the laundry and work.

You do laundry once a week for two people. I do it every 3 weeks for two people (maybe even less frequently). Draw your own conclusions!
I do laundry at least three times a week for three people. But we have a cat that seems to consist of only hair (and he's a regular red tabby) so everything we wear is covered in hair in a day. He's the hair abyss or something, we also brush him!

Of course it doesn't help that we vacuum only once a week, but that's because I can't due to my hernia and my husband has a fulltime job and well, my youngest stepson has autism and delayed onset puberty which has put him in the 'no' phase currently so we're hardly getting him to do anything.

I do laundry as needed, and by that I mean when I run out of underwear, or shirts, etc.

As for today, there are a couple of errands I could run, but I don't have to run today. Otherwise, just some minor housework to do.

You spend most of your days naked? 🤷‍♂️

Only at night. I wash clothes if they are actually dirty - like maybe its been very hot and tops get sweaty or if I spill/slash food on them. Things like shorts, skirts, trousers don't really get dirty very quickly. Duvet covers and sheets get changed only occasionally I'm afraid. They don't really get dirty as far as I can see.

That’s another one of those polarizing issues…sheets. A lot of people go on and on about fresh, crisp sheets, but I hate freshly-laundered sheets. I want mine broken in a bit, so I’m loathe to change them.
I want mine fresh but not crisp, so I buy both laundry softener and dryer sheets. Super soft and fresh smelling.

Even I do it once a week for 2 people.

Bedding is changed once a week. That's a full load (king sized sheet, 4 pillow cases and super king sized quilt cover). My asthma dictates frequent washing, plus hubby doesn't use Pjs so the bedding rots on his side if I don't wash it often. Perhaps because my bedding is +15 years old, i notice it, but the cotton sheets tear by hand when they are give up. Washing them more often helps prevent this.

Towels rarely fit in with the clothes, so I usually end up splitting the wash into 2. Towels don't dry in winter in an unheated bathroom, so the only option is to wash them each week along with standard laundry.

But I don't pay for water and run the washing machine at night. Don't have a tumble drier, so need the washing as dry as possible on the spin which means don't over fill it. That way the load comes out well spun and fairly dry.

Once a month I'll do a wollens wash for my socks and anything else wool that needs washing and drying.

Today's plans don't include laundry.

I have to be out very soon for a doctors appointment. I already know one lot of bad news because I've bypassed my doctor and gone directly back to my neurosurgeon from 4 years ago to see if the results from Monday's CT scan were as bad as I was reading them. They are so I've already got forms for more scans and an appointment to see the neurosurgeon on his next visit to Canberra (he only comes once a month). I now need my doctor to do that paperwork.

Hubby is coming with me. I can't face it alone. I've taken about as much as I can handle and now need support. Then I've got the blood test results I've been waiting for as well...

Then I've to drive hubby to work in Canberra, and come home via the weekly shopping.

Evening meal is made, so I'll only need to pick hubby up off the Wollongong coach this evening when it comes through.

If I have an energy left, I may potter in the veg plot. The grass can wait a while longer yet.
