Plans for today (2019-2022)

Most of our plans today revolve around checking things off our vacation prep list. So far today, we’ve ordered a few items from Amazon (AirTag, Pacsafe bag, powerbank), and we’ve made reservations at a restaurant on 19 Sept.

Still several things left to do (like making sure our meds are all fully stocked, making sure our phones are still set up for international use, reserve parking for outbound airport, etc) - I’m already worn out thinking about it.

Priority one, a haircut. Then a trip to COSTCO. I also want to stop by Wild Fork Foods to see what they have to offer. Oh, and a car wash. If I can get an appointment at a convenient time, I'll have the Audi dealer near me do the wash and interior clean, because it is FREE! If not, I'll just pay to get the outside washed, and do the inside myself.

I guess it must be super boring for you guys at this point, but we're eating sushi tomorrow. And are going to shop for shoes, because I need something more comfy for winter. My normal boots hurt too much. And I love boots, but this time I'm going for sneakers with special soles I had made. I need something comfy more than something that looks great in my eyes. Am going to look for black sneakers though, or something glittery..

We'll be more adventurous restaurant wise, next year or so. Right now going out is too much hassle for me to go somewhere we're not sure if it's worth the effort.

I just went through this!

First off, I loves mah shoes/boots, and I’ve got a fair amount. My philosophy over the years has been that footwear (footware? ) needs to look good first and feel good second.

After decades of that attitude, my feet have paid the price, and I recently broke down and bought two pair of orthopedic shoes.

They’re ugly as sin, but I must say, they wear like a dream (and no, I’m not posting pics)!

Good luck on your shoes and sushi. I’m calling that shoeshi from now on. 👞 🍣

Well I've worn boots all my life (DR Martens)because I am the opposite, I think heels are ridiculous and uncomfortable even though they look great. But by now, my ankles and feet are so swollen due to the reuma that even my boots are too tight and press too much on my already painful feet. I can't even walk barefoot currently (which was my preference all my life) because it hurts too much. I'm wearing orthopedic sandals at home at all times, and I'm now buying sneakers to fit my orthopedic soles in.

I also suffer shoe wise. But right now its all simplified. When going out I wear Skechers 'Go walk'. So far so good and although not super trendy they look OK and more importantly my foot problems have disappeared. This type of thing:

A couple weeks ago, I bought a new pair of Berkies -- Birkenstock Arizona sandals, in black this time.

Today's plans, include the weekly shop, collecting and hitting my new glasses, a trip to the DIY store and possibly the garden center plus the cheap as chips everything stir next to the supermarket and the pharmacy.

Have to leave in 30 minutes, so I'll have to fly...

The good news is that in theory at least, my typing skills might improve if I can actually click on the letter of the alphabet I'm after rather than the 1 to the side! But I'm making no promises.

I took the day off today, planning on getting some herbs in from the garden and into the freezer.

I have a couple of vacation-prep items to take care of. One year, we forgot to tell one of the credit card companies that we were traveling out-of-country, and the first time we tried to use the card, they locked it out, so we had to spend half a day on the phone getting it unlocked.

Maybe a little menu planning today as well.

Rum the iRobot Roomba
? Don't know what that is...

Wash hair and apply dye (not yet done)
