Plans for today (2019-2022)

Another of my plans today is to start going through the four Christmas cooking magazines I bought in London and marking the recipes I want to make. Fun!

Well, both of those ain’t happenin’ - no gas for the mower, and the dessert is a slow-cooker one that I should have started by now.

Finally got to study again a little today, I'm already through half of my coursework for this year

Plans are to have a doctor's appointment that I should have had on Tuesday but wasn't well enough to attend. And then hubby has a 4 month (? Is it really that long) review following his 2nd ankle fusion. Then we may get lunch together before I head home and he goes to work for the afternoon. He'll get the coach home so late home for 7pm. Evening meal will be very late at 7:30pm.

I've got a poorly chook to look after at home and another that thinks hatching unfertile eggs is a good idea, so I've enough to keep myself occupied.

I expect I'll also need to put my head down for some rest at some point as well.

I'm not cooking at the moment so I'll bale something out of the freezer.

Seeing as I'm at least testing negative for covid, I'm going out to the grocery store today (with an N95 mask, just in case), grabbing some groceries, and I've just gotten a text that they've set up a tractor-trailer in the parking lot for collecting supplies for our friends in Florida, currently making their way through Hurricane Ian, so I'll buy some items to donate for that.

Finishing the laundry today, and I'm really going to try one last stuffed pepper recipe, if I can find something I like.

*Drumroll * Guys & gals it's amazing , I was able to join husband & stepson for a small trip to two thrift stores today, AND I was able to cook a decent meal!

I really, really hope this ability to walk due to the increase in pain meds stays. This was such a relief. I still have pain, but as long as I can walk I can deal with it.

Tomorrow we're, predictably, eating sushi

Waiting for Roofers to show up, waited all day yesterday, no show ... called to a different company, they said that they could come out today between 930-10am and put a tarp over the roof for now.

We had a real bad storm blow through here on Monday afternoon, there have been tales of an f1 tornado, but un-confirmed in our neighborhood. A tornado did touch down closer to the Grand Canyon, so we figure we just got skirted by it ... did loads of damage!
