Our closest one is 45 minutes. We usually go once a year around Christmas. It's 30 mins by car. I can't drive, or walk long distances. So long for me.

We haven´t been since before covid, it´s not our favorite place. But we need some good firm pillows so I can actually sit at my desk without intense pain. And we´re getting some of their food from their store of course. Our closest one is 45 minutes. We usually go once a year around Christmas.

Same between myself and my sister, but there's a younger brother as well that's a 17 year gap...My father is 14 years older than his only brother, so it's not unusual to me.

The irritating thing is, the transfer company called us yesterday to ask if they could pick us up early, and we said no, because we need time in the morning to panic-check the room six times before we check out, and to tend to…ahem…nervous stomachs.
They had a rotating display of info up, the one time I noticed it, we were going about 150mph.Yeah, yeah... nice pictures. But, how fast did you go??!!!

We’ve cancelled housekeeping for the room today, as we just got here last night. We’re holed up in the room right now, though I did have to go and get an envelope of little milks for our tea supply today. No fridge in the room (well, there is a fridge, but it’s literally screwed shut). We are off for a walk and a picnic today. We don't seem to have been taken by the mass hysteria that has come over Britain in the past few days.
Glad you had an enjoyable trip...we were also in the tunnel yesterday, but our accommodations were somewhat more basic

We’ll be out walking around off and on between breaks watching the service on TV.
