Welcome to Britain.

Are you anywhere near the action today?
Well, MrsT had plans go join the throng at either Hyde Park or along the Mall, but I don’t want to go because my stomach is a little off, and I think she hates to admit it, but she’d rather see it on TV.

Right now, we’re slowly walking in front of The Tower along the river, while she takes photos of things she’s photographed 50 times before.

Spent the weekend dealing with wood bugs in my favorite bookshelf. I should give it the second layer of wood varnish today, but I'm considering skipping it. I'm terribly tired from the ordeal of having to empty and move two bookshelves, plus the couch, and I couldn't even move the couch far enough so I had to work on the bookshelf while I was stuck between wall, bookshelf and the sofa. I am drained. The bookshelf is beautiful, it's the first bookshelf I ever got (my parents bought it when I was 12) and it's one of the few pieces of real wood I have, but I'm not sure it's worth all this trouble.

Here's how my living room looks right now btw.

Looks like my amount of books! We own at least 500 .

I was up before the Sun this morning (that's very unusual for me), we need to get going early to take our new car in for its first check up. These new fangled motor vehicles nowadays are amazing. We had called the dealer to ask when we should be bringing the car in for an oil change and they said, "the car will tell you." It did, as I was driving at 70mph down the freeway and all of a sudden this loud "BING" and all these lights go off on the dashboard, scared the pee wade outta me!

We were supposed to be going out for lunch today with family, unfortunately the lady is unwell so have instead had a productive day.

I might just get chance to make a beer recipe or two today, after some more sleep and if it hasn't rained by then, some more cutting of the lawn. Apparently our lawn must be gigantic if the single battery (36v, 6Ah) is capable of cutting a 'large lawn' because even running 2 batteries (totaling 36v, 10Ah) takes me 4 attempts to get the lawn completely done! And that doesn't include the edges, flag stones and such being done with the strimmer (can't get that done on 2 recharges of the 36v 2.6Ah original battery either! )

First day back to work after two weeks off, so most of my day will be spent fending off frantic people looking for status updates on things I know nothing about, since whatever it is they’re talking about didn’t even come up until after I’d left, and repeatedly telling people, “I have two weeks of emails to get through. I haven’t seen that yet.”
