Plans for today (2024)

Not much planned for today. Packing for our little getaway tomorrow.

I may try and mow the grass, even though it doesn’t really need it, because by the time we get back, it’ll be out of control if I don’t.

My only plan is to pick up the grocery order and figure out dinner. Got some new semolina a few days ago, maybe I'll make pasta today.

Well change of plans, car was available to my boyfriend to borrow, but the weather did not play along.

Forecast predicted rain tomorrow, instead it built up today between 5 and 6 pm.

After the Vienna flooding recently, we were on the cautious side and canceled our visit/walk.

For now, rain has been very moderate, over in 80 to 90 min, so it is not raining for now, although the forecast indicated rain and storm up until 11 pm.

NExt 2 weeks' edu is held at his town, so we will try to coordinate meeting there. It depends on his car availability again, as he is not at the city center...

But let's see...

We had snow 30 mins away from me yesterday and possibly today as well??
Better tomorrow so butcher and I are getting a whole lamb cut up for our son.
I'm also getting whole fillet as well.

Got lamb 18kg cut up and delivered to son.
Whole fillet of beef $67 2.2 kg.
I will slice into.steaks later.
Chicken is out of the freezer for Mexican wraps for tea .
These are good.
I need to bring some booze in from my car.

Today's my DH'S eye surgery for his left eye. They are replacing the lens. Glad I'm not watching!

I went to bed at 11 and woke up at around 2 30...trying to go back to sleep for another 4 hours...

Thanks! He has been so anxious ever since the consult, I am glad today is finally the day so he can relax and perhaps be less worried about the other eye next week.

Today I've got the cleaner here and the gardener on the way. Nothing planned particularly, so I may just wander aimlessly around the garden and watch the birds

It’s back to work for me, and I’m on call for the rest of the week, and I already know I have to work Saturday morning.

Also planning on running into town - after all the heavy foods we’ve been eating, it’s time for salad.

The project for my miniature group this month is a Grand Bazaar scene. So, I'll be working on mine. Got to get going on it now that I have pretty much everything.

Oh definitely, not everyone is suited to watch such scenes, me neither.
When I went in with my Dad for his fibroma removal, which is a minor, really minor procedure, just to give a short introduction, the nurse/technician, a guy, said You can stay if you promise not to faint. And I gratefully declined to stay. Waited outside.
