Venezuela is the 3rd biggest consumer of pasta in the world, after Italy and Tunisia. Anyone who served 75 gms of pasta for a meal would have definitely needed to add a meat course as well. A "standard" serving here (and I should point out, it's probably the main dish of the day for many people) is 140-150 gms per person.Standard seems to be 75g but I'm quite happy with 60g (less calories).
We had the cleaner and the gardener here at home today, and I always make them breakfast and lunch. Spag Bol today, basically, with a side salad. 150 gms pasta per person.
