Plans for today (2024)

Take lunch to Isla at high school. She has requested a big mac and fries. Her bestie from last year has moved to Australia. A few cheese burgers for her mates. I need chick pea flour so a visit to my friendly Indian store. On my journey I will sort tea out'??

I just got home. Makkas delivered . Whole waiting for her to come out the smell got to me.after that I drove straight to makkas again. Kiwi burger and strawberry sundae. I was right when I made the strawberry syrup/ coulis? My version is the same.
Just took a chicken breast out for kebabs and satay .

Soz Russ, I’m probably being daft but I don’t understand this at all. Makkas, the smell?
 
I’m trying out a new type of Wednesday I’ve named Whimsy Wednesday because Wednesdays alway seems a bit of a flat midweek day.
Tis still a normal working day and jobs have to be completed but I’m going to try and make Wednesday a midweek treat rather than a hump day by interlacing some nice things into the day.

So far it includes soup and garlic croutons in front of the fire watching an episode of a programme saved specifically for Wednesdays (it has to be lightweight rubbish tv, nothing stimulating or demanding preferably with a bit of whimsy), a nice stinky shower gel that only gets used on Wednesdays with a matching hand soap (I normally use bar soap), using the good perfume (before it goes stale 😬), choice meal - I’ve got the fat scallops I’ve been craving since the fish discussion 😆 I’ll be using my wonky £35 pound mug I bought at a craft fair in a moment of madness which sits untouched because well it was £35 🤪 and I have freshly laundered relaxing clothes, pyjamas and bedsheets all waiting for me when the works done.

So thats my plan for today, get the essential work done and make the most of Wednesdays.
Not sure how it’ll pan out but it’s worth a go.
 
My Wednesday is mostly the usual…work, laundry, but then I’ve got to run into town and get MrsT some light popcorn from ALDI, so I’ll use that opportunity to have my weekly cheeseburger and fries and McD’s - because I order through the app (well, app & kiosk in combo), I can get that for $2.20 or so.

I’ve also got to sort the tree out and get the pink lights up on it for Valentine’s Day.
