Target has some deal with the UK, because lately, they’ve been the US presence of M&S, and they also sell fashion items from Liberty.

Well, everything M&S Christmassy is 50% off, and that’s a projection tree filled with shortbread…but it doesn’t work. Apparently, the lighting mechanism has a shelf life (it’s not chargeable or replaceable), and a short one at that. I took the little light module out, took into into a black room, and to say it barely musters a glow is being extremely generous. The little yellow light at the end turns a barely-perceptible slightly darker yellow, and definitely not enough to project anything except disappointment. :laugh:

But hey, we’ve got another packet of biscuits and another box of chocolates though!

I don’t recognise that from this years line up but maybe they just got cold in transit and drained the battery?
Maybe you could rip the battery compartment open and do surgery?
If not I’ll have the hazelnut praline 😂
 
Sigh…I had really hoped I’d be negative by now, but still testing positive for covid. I feel pretty well fine by now, but don’t want to take the risk to see my folks if I still have detectable levels of virus in my system.

Might need to postpone Christmas celebrations again…
 
It’s our wedding anniversary today and not something we ever really bother much with.
We’ll say happy anniversary and maybe have a takeaway.

I was surprised this morning when Mr SSOAP gave me a card and said we’re going to the Apple Store to pick up the new ipad he’s ordered for me. I replied my current ipad is old but still going strong, so why?

He replied he knows but he also knows I stress about having it in my panniers because the vibrations on a motorbike are renowned for killing tech (one phone lost image stabilisation and one laptop refused to turn on).
This way I’ll have my old one for specifically for travelling and can relax.

How thoughtful, feels extremely decadent to have a travelling tablet but I suppose it’s going to make me enjoy riding all the more because when your in a foreign climb and your expensive tech cr*ps out on you it does really stress you out. That means it’s in the back of your mind all the time.

And if that’s not enough then on to a Chinese restaurant that does gluten free food 👏 👏 👏

Two questions -

Firstly where do I get the energy from for today when I’m in melted mode 😂
Secondly is this forward pay based on knowing what a terrible patient he’s going to be post shoulder surgery? 🤣

Happy wedding anniversary.

Ours was yesterday.
 
Well it's 6 am here and I've been awake for about 2 hours because my sinus allergies flared up, so I finally broke down and took a pill. I take a different pill in the late morning everyday to keep my allergies at bay but when they get bad at night I have to take this other kind just so I can breathe. It's starting to kick in. Maybe I'll go back to sleep for a few hours.

That really sucks 😞 I’m sorry you have to endure that. Broken sleep happens to all of us without all that on top 😔

I know you’re well genned up on everything you could possibly do to try and improve your allergies but I’m just wondering if you have an air filter in your room? We found the dyson air purifier did wonders for our son.

Hope you have a chance to doze today 🤗

We went bit banana’s 😬
Picked up the ipad and went to John Lewis to look at TV’s AGAIN for the millionth time. We started on the ‘we need a new TV’ conversation about two years ago. The one we have is over 10 years old, has screen burn and a blurry image.
But the ones I’m interested in are so expensive I do all the research and then back out 😂

Not today, went in, spoke to the TV geek, picked put an enormous TV, cinema sounds system and chucked a PlayStation in for good measure.
We’re both now pretty shell shocked 😂
And the room it’s going in is nowhere near ready, it’s full to the brim with stuff.
I delayed delivery and now have four weeks to do a hell of a lot of work.
Oops 😬 🤪
