He'll only eat rice if it has meat juice on it. He gets the bones after I've boiled them out making broth. He's not *as* spoiled as Pippi.Does Ozzie at least get a bit of rice with oxtail today?
That's a lot of fluidGetting a CT scan for some random abdominal pains that I've been having the past year, might just be Crohns but we want to be sure it's nothing more than that. So am fasting now, and can 'enjoy' a litre of barium water when we've arrived at hospital. Still, am lucky it's only 1 litre because I don't have a colon, people with a colon are supposed to drink 1.5 litres.
Well, it's mildly salty with artificial sweetness added. I HATE it but that's because I have had 11 colonoscopies and then you have to drink 4 litres of salted & artificial flavored water to prepare and flush your colon.Does barium water taste like anything nasty? Or just like water?
Anyway, good luck, fingers crossed
Sounds a bit like ORSWell, it's mildly salty with artificial sweetness added. I HATE it but that's because I have had 11 colonoscopies and then you have to drink 4 litres of salted & artificial flavored water to prepare and flush your colon.
So it triggers those memories for me. Thanks to having no more colon however, the colonoscopies are in the past for me.
And comparably 1 litre of this was easy.
I just feel slightly queasy now still. Salt water & artificial flavor is just no treat, to say the least.
Yep, ORS is another one of the 'joys' of having no colon, when it's a heatwave I need that to stay out of dehydratrion/ the hospital. The barium liquid is almost exactly that.Sounds a bit like ORS
Oral rehydration solution
I actually like ORSYep, ORS is another one of the 'joys' of having no colon, when it's a heatwave I need that to stay out of dehydratrion/ the hospital. The barium liquid is almost exactly that.
The colonoscopy prep stuff is like ORS but a lot stronger tasting.
Well, if you've had to drink 4 liters of it's stronger cousin while fasting 11 times, I think you will stop liking itI actually like ORS
Probably because I know it works
