OMG that view! I could eat some seasoned cardboard and be happy there LOL!

For me (both of us, really), it just didn’t have the richness the look of it suggested. The yogurt is thinner than, say, sour cream (and I don’t meant consistency, I mean taste) - both MrsT and I commented that “this tastes like a low-fat diet version of a better dish.”
I congratulate you on trying something new and (possibly) out of your comfort zone.
At least you tried it.

This is the "slogan" for this Hawaii based restaurant.
I found it amusing that they posted that above the elevator to the Kahala location.

My breakfast, Portuguese Sausage Eggs `N Fried Rice.
AHHHH! I'm home!

Yesterday we had linner (late lunch/early dinner) at an extremely iconic restaurant here in Honolulu.
They're known for their Butter Rolls, so I bought some from their bakery counter, brought them back to the condo with the intention of duplicating them how they serve them in the restaurant.

I got it!
SSSHHHHHH! Don't tell DH, but this how they do it...
1) heat a pan or griddle oh med-high heat
2) melt some salted Butter
3) split the rolls vertically
4) press them cut side down first and hold the press for a bit for even contact
5) brown to your liking
6) flip and repeat steps 4 & 5
Served warm with over easy egg and bacon, side fruit for DH.
That was over the moon ONO (that's Hawaiian for delicious) !!!

Yup, I griddle my buns/rolls the same way. I think I read somewhere that restaurant cooks and chefs cook like they're trying to kill us, LOL. I am not convinced, however, that salt and butter are all that bad. And if plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables (especially salad vegetables) are interspersed in between the cooked food with the salt and butter, that helps to balance it out, right?

The view is stunning. It does steal the gaze away from the food, although the food looks yummy.

I sauteed peppers, onion, garlic, and mushrooms, then added soy and ground black pepper with a touch of cream, then melted white cheddar in the mix. I folded thin pieces of leftover steak in the mixture for an open-faced steak sandwich on a griddled piece of onion-poppyseed roll, topped with a slice of American cheese and an over medium fried egg. Hubby's was 2 eggs and 2x the meat mixture.

Yum!
