Baked Cheddar Eggs and Potatoes Recipe

Well, its judging time. Quite a few entries this time round. I've tried to make comments on all the recipes submitted, most of which I liked. For me, sweet stuff doesn't hit the spot so I honed in on the savoury dishes. Of particular note were:
Egg-in-a-hole from @SatNavSaysStraightOn which I liked for its simplicity and for that seductive oozing golden egg yolk
Brussels Sprouts With Fried Eggs And Spiced Yogurt from @classic33 with za’atar, sumac, hot pepper sauce. Whats not to like?
Duck Egg Sambal from @Yorky. Even the word 'sambal' sets my heart racing.
Baked Cheddar Eggs and Potatoes Recipe from @Caribbean girl. A lovely simple hearty dish.

In the end it was neck and neck between two Yorkshire chaps! I really didn't know which one to go for :D. Duck Egg Sambal from @Yorky or Brussels Sprouts With Fried Eggs And Spiced Yogurt from @classic33. I finally decided (by a hair's breadth) on the Duck Egg Sambal as it was @Yorky's own recipe.

So its over to you @Yorky to choose the next ingredient and set a deadline. We normally run the challenge for two weeks. If you look at the first post on page one (the thread starter) it lists what has gone before.

Thank you for that. I really don't deserve it as it's not "my own recipe" but based upon a sambal udang which was the creation of my friend the chef "Gazalhi" who was employed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. OK, I adapted it a little.

Nonetheless I shall check the list for any sign of potatoes!

On checking the list I found the last item on the list was "potatoes" (actually the first item but I was reading the list backwards!). My favourite "vegetable" is the potato even though I do live in Nakhorn Nowhere where it is sometimes not available. However.......

Unless I'm mistaken (which I often am) prawns do not appear upon the list of challenges. If I am correct then I choose prawns/shrimps/crayfish (fresh or saltwater) as the primary ingredient to be included in the dish for the next challenge. I guess the deadline should be 12 noon (GMT) on 21st November 2016.

There is no reason as to why you cant have the same ingredient twice. We have done in the past. Anyhow prawns/shrimp or crawfish are it, so please count me out on this one :( There are few alternatives in the veggie/veggan/vegan world for fish and the only one I have come across really didn't work! (Fishless tuna - it was Yuba by a different name). I will update the front page and the featured page over tomorrow morning my time.
