Sunny, cool and windy here. Much needed rain is due on Monday. We have a couple of wildfires going West of Forth Worth.

Drought map as of yesterday...

My Alien Butt probe is done. They let me out of their spaceship just before noon. They removed ten polyps. Not good. They will use their alien technology to make sure they aren't cancerous. They usually aren't.

They gave me my clothes and personal belongings back, but kept some of my money.

My FIL was a polyp machine, like picking in the polyp patch, but it never caused him any issues otherwise. Yours will probably be the same.

I was just going to inquire as to your alien spaceship visit caseydog
Fingers cross that your labs come back clean 🤞
DH had 5 removed on his last go-around, now they want to come back every 3 years rather than 5... I think he's just about due... I'm not old enough yet for my turn

One of the pear cider vinegars I set going at the start of the week has decided that today is a good day to take off and leave the table it was standing on! No warning, one minute it was doing what it's meant to do which is to gently bubble away and the next minute it is an effervescent volcano on my dining room table. :o_o:

It's currently standing in a big bowl after some of the contents have been transferred to another version that had a little more space in it and I've fitted the lid to my sauerkraut fermentation jar... it's a rubber nipple that allows excess pressure to vent. It isn't even as though I've added any sugar, just water, pear peel, pear core and bruised bits and some ACV mother. All 5 jars are now in bowls (all have fabric tops except the trouble maker which keeps getting them soaked...) tomorrow is meant to be really warm and I'm not home all day! That should be fun.

Sorry about the laugh, but you reminded me of a friend of mine who brewed his own beer, and painted the ceiling of his kitchen with beer quite a few times.

I never did that, but when you’re cooking it, it’ll boil over at a moment’s notice (sort of like milk, but worse), and I’ve done that more than once.

That’s when you have to pull the stove out and completely scrub everything down, or else your house will smell like a stale bar, the whole place will be sticky, and every ant within a hundred miles will move into your kitchen.

No worries, sorry if that's too Aussie...

It's still a very active volcano this morning.
