I once said on here, that my greatest regret is not being allowed to study due to my parents not having faith in me and being abusive, and not having the chance later in life.

Well, that has now changed! I am going to study again, at pre - higher education level. I don't know much about other country's school systems, but what I am going to do now is comparable to a school that prepares you for university or other higher education. Because I've been out of a study environment for so long (18 years!) , I am starting with only English to learn to study again as English at that level should be a breeze for me. Of course, Dutch should be too as I am bilingual but English is a lot more fun to study than Dutch would be.

My English course starts on april 25th!

If that turns out well, I'm starting my second class and will go on until I have completed the program! I've got 10 years to finish, so I should be able to do this

Great stuff :highfive:

I love my friend, but baby showers are boring -- I have no opinion about baby things.

I was the only dude there, besides her husband and (young) son and we were outnumbered, by like, 20 women and half a dozen babies -- and it was raining, so we "men" couldn't go out.

Now the food was excellent. Most of the guests were from West Africa and the food was delicious, so I'm hoping whoever wins the cooking challenge sets up an African food challenge (hint, hint) because yum.

I agree with you and I'm not a bloke. Babies in general are boring - luckily we don't have baby showers in the UK. Although - it wouldn't surprise me to learn that is catching on.

My niece has officially announced she and her husband are expecting their 1st baby in October, this has given TVC and I the irresistible opportunity to suggest silly baby names...their last name is Pole...:giggle:

It's white again outside this morning. Took almost all day yesterday to burn off, and daylight savings has now ended. It is "light" again at 6am, but also dark at 6pm now. I won't bother altering the timer on the chook house gate. They'll still get the same hours of free ranging, I'll just have to remember that is they are on a staying in day (when we're both not home for whatever reason) that we have to turn it off before 8am, not 9am. Their enclosure has a 105m perimeter which isn't exactly small for only 20 chooks.
