Neither my husband or I can sleep in a heated room, so the bedroom window is always open unless the wind is pulling smoke into the room. So we sleep at temps in the low 40F lower is preferred. It's only in the last couple of years we've started to close the window if the temp is below 30F. In the past it needed to be minus double figures (so below -10°C)... but age is starting to catch up with us now, lol.I am constantly messing with the AC thermostats. I keep the downstairs at 78F most of the day, and 76F to sleep. If I am upstairs in my office, I turn the AC to 78F or 76F, depending on the time of day/night. When I am not up there, I turn it to 80F. If I leave the house for more than a few minutes, I set both to 80F. I would go higher, but I have a very furry dog to consider.

The sitting room temp is best around the 16°C mark for me. Hubby prefers 19°C, but I don't do heat well, never have done... so 61F it is. At the moment with my back being bad, I'm sitting with an ice pack on my spine and the room at 17°C.
No temperature control to fiddle with but there is the slot on the front of the fire. We prefer to run cold and put more clothes on it sit under a blanket. If it is too warm, my evening meal is known to bounce, so we have to be very careful. I also sweat a lot (always have done) and if the room is too warm in the evening it the bedroom too warn at night, I get very dehydrated to the point where it causes issues.
