We were due to meet our niece for lunch in the city today (they live six hours away), but the covid threat in the county there is back up to High/Red Alert, and it’s going to be busy because of an MLB baseball game (which is why they’re in town) and a three-day music festival going on (headlined by Janet Jackson), so we’ve bailed on that.

Now I'm at a bar that has 400 different kinds of beer. Here are just a few. Decisions, decisions.

My husband and son-in-law throwing axes.
I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of consuming alcohol and throwing sharp heavy objects lol.
Well, it’s not too far off our favorite German festival here; consuming alcohol and shooting a giant wooden eagle out of a tree.

After a month of temperatures not reaching double figures and averaging less than 5°C a day (including night) today saw the temperature reach 15.3°C outside.

Sadly (?) having fixed the chimney and stove yesterday, it was working exceptionally well and we've spent the day with the doors and windows open. The sitting room window is still open... bedroom for is shut to keep the warmth out! It's window is also open. Tonight is forecast to drop to 2°C, tomorrow will be equally warm...

And you know, I'm always pleased when I see your name come up! Why haven't you been cooking so much? I seem to recall you moved to somewhere with a better kitchen or was it that you got a new oven?
Yes, I moved to a house with an actual kitchen - a big upgrade from the kitchenette I had before. A lot of my time is now taken up with my parents who both developed health issues over the past few years. That with starting a new job this year, I don't have much time or energy for the kitchen.

JAS_OH1, are you up on the Lake in the Port Clinton / Sandusky area? We have a Noble Axes in town - have a friend that wants us to go throw axes and drink. Same as you , cannot wrap my head around drinking and throwing axes 😱😱

Wasn't sure if our area was the only one or they have multiple locations. Hope it was a good day with the family!

Well, sports aren't yet needed for me to expand energy.

This is my ' intensive training ' score according to my heartrate counter. And I am only doing light housework and some walking. No surprise I am losing weight fast. Hope the cardiologist I see thursday can give me some advice on how to cope with this well.

Yeah, that's exactly where I was. My oldest daughter and her husband just moved from Catawba Island to Sandusky. I just cooked everyone breakfast and we're heading back to Akron this afternoon.

Pretty much same weather here too.
