I have been trying to get diaries for next year, wirebound are rather illusive. All the suppliers have asked the same thing-do I want 2022 or 2023? Bearing in mind we are now in September...why would we want 2022

I have little to write in diaries, whether past, present or future so I find the computer applications to be generally adequate.
The boss isn't happy about diaries as he thinks they are a waste of time, some of us prefer to use them, easier to write quickly then to open a screen etc...besides I like to see thing right there in front of my face. My immediate boss uses the compute for her stuff, I am a bit old fashioned I suppose.
When I was working for a living I always had a full size diary open on my desk; in fact, we were issued with them.
Yeah my heart is strong! I'm honestly amazed it's healed again. The doctors also say it's a miracle. I've decided to give myself up for testing , and to speak to the media because I want this illness to be more known. It shouldn't take 4 times for doctors to find out this is chronic, even though it's rare. This illness needs more awareness, so as long as I breathe (lol) I will try to be a spokesperson for it. It gives me a purpose with going through all this. You're tough Windigo
It's a good thing they decided to carry out those tests even though they had said they didn't think you had it.It's CTE, without the PH part. For now, in the future that might still happen. CTE stands for Chronic trombo embolic syndrome, which means that PE's don't completely dissapear with medication in my case.
PH stands for the resulting pulmonary hypertension, which is not yet present. It may never happen, and it may at any time. If it does, it can be deadly.
For now, they're sending me to the Amsterdam university hospital for treatment for the CTE, in order to try to avoid CTEPH.
It's a rare illness, but does explain why I have had PE's four times already.
There's no real managing it , the meds are a last hope before the as you know very difficult and dangerous surgery. All we can do is hope it does not soon devolve in to CTEPH is what the doctor said. You can't treat this with excercise or something he said too. I just have PE'S turned into fibrous clots blocking my blood vessels. We can only hope I don't get so many that PH comes into it soon. There is no research as to why this happens to some people, because this is very rare. It's a good thing they decided to carry out those tests even though they had said they didn't think you had it.
I know it's not a great diagnosis, but it is a diagnosis and you can now look forward as in the future and how to live with the condition and how to manage it.
I was thinking of that, I already carry a medical ID but thanks for the tip!Can I suggest that you consider something equivalent to a Medic Alert bracelet because you need to make doctors and paramedics aware of your condition offender if you are unconscious and the medic alert bracelet scheme. I spotted 2 schemes in the Netherlands on a quick search (this is one Medical ID name bracelets ICEtags). The medic alert scheme is a bracelet or necklace with basic information on it and what medical info you need to convey immediately if you're unconscious. It also has a telephone number and member number for medical personal you ring and be given whatever medical info you have agreed to be released. It does give peace of mind and isn't expensive.
Configuring your phone for ICE info and your medical condition is also very useful.

I am guessing that you are talking about somethinig you use to keep track of appointments, meetings and such. Here, that would be a Day Planner or Personal Organizer, available in paper or computer formats.

Okay, this must be another of those "means something else in the UK" things.
A Diary here is a private journal that you write down things that happened today, and your private thoughts and feelings. Certainly NOT something you would leave open on your desk. I am guessing that you are talking about somethinig you use to keep track of appointments, meetings and such. Here, that would be a Day Planner or Personal Organizer, available in paper or computer formats.
CD
Yes, but it also serves to record events particularly when "on site". However, we do not precede entries with "Dear Diary".
