Since we are onto numbers and dialect [a bit] anybody know the old counting system beginning yan tan tethera - used for cheep counting in the northern dales. ?
Similar in Gaelic as well. Quite cheap as no machine required.

I could manage upto forty at one stage, which for a "townie" in a Gaelic speaking area wasn't too bad.

Five newly made pies with slow cooked braising steak & ox cheek filling in the fridge. It's amazing how 500g of meat just disappears.
