Oof that sucks!
Can’t remember if I mentioned I have to carry a CPAP? I would not like to do that in view of others, you have my sympathies.

Hopefully it will make things a lot easier as it also means they will ditch the 100ml bottle limit. Initially they said they would any road.
However when I spoke to security in Bristol airport they said there would still be limits. Tbh I got the impression she was just making it up and didn’t know what was happening 😆

Personally I can’t wait to get on a plane with a jar of marmite or mustard or wow butter 😂

When I needed to take two large batteries to power my CPAP in a place with no electricity I was so paranoid they would confiscate one, when I read you’re allowed one ”integral to the machine“ and one spare I spent (insert swear word here) loads on a travel machine that the batteries fitted directly and seamlessly into the machine.

It was worth it for peace of mind. The thought of having to choose your flight or your health is rather stressful!

We have most of the same rules, here. Dallas/Fort Worth airport has the newest carry-on scanners, so you don't have to remove laptops and other electronics. For me, that means I don't have to unload my camera bags.

As for L-ion batteries, they must be in carry-on baggage. They can NOT be in checked baggage. I was never given a limit on the number of batteries before.

However, my camera bag did test positive for explosives, once. That was a lot of fun. Your Photos

It surely does, arteries and valves tend to do their own thing. It sounds like she had someone inexperienced but who knew their limits last time so in it’s own way that’s a good sign about the hospital she’s in 👍

Turns out she didn't have stents fitted, instead her arteries were cleaned out/ de-clogged whilst awake so a trauma in itself. After the surgery she had chest pains and felt sick, they think she had a minor heart attack so did tests to see how things are, she is still in so hopefully they are being thorough and she can go home soon.

Thing is, she has never smoked, drinks very little, eats sensibly, however she is diabetic and has to regulate her levels so I guess that is what is causing her heart issues.

Diabetes is no man’s friend but even so some people are just genetically predisposed to developing these problems.

If she hadn’t have taken care of herself it may have all have happened a lot sooner.

Hope she feels better and gets home soon.

It’s two individual batteries not exceeding 100Wh

But that doesn’t include ones integrated in the equipment 👍

My best friend's father had a heart attack in his 50s, and he was very physically fit. He survived, but my BF's oldest brother, Las very fit, died from a heart attack. My friend sees a cardiologist every six months, now. It is genetic in his family.

Had a fever for two days from my recent Covid infection, but I'm happy to report it's steadily going down. My sore throat is also getting less severe and my ability to taste food is returning. Hurray!
Very happy about my rapid recovery given that next weekend is our only hotel stay of this year to celebrate our 5 year marriage anniversary!

That's good. Hopefully you will be in good form for your weekend away. Sorry if you already mentioned it, but whereabouts are you going?

Same hotel as last time ( the suite with private sauna and bubble bath) due to our cat requireing daily medications. We leave at noon sat and are back sun evening.

Finally home.

Lost one of our chooks yesterday which our neighbour is very upset by, but it sounds like she died in her sleep under the lemon tree during the day. She was 9 years old and still laying an egg or two a week. She's happy to look after our chooks again, just not for 3 weeks at a time. We think her OH now wants chickens! Lol. He's been talking to our broody chook whilst it's been up at their place for 5 days.

My cold and chest infection is worse again. That comes from not being able to nebulise on the flights at all and also no time between the 2 long haul flights (14hrs & 9hrs) in Tokyo because of the weather in the UK and Europe, to get a nebulising in. We literally walked off one flight, through security with a stewardess and were escorted directly to the gate for the final call. We lost our duty free bag to security in the process. A sticky label was missing and we didn't have time to argue it. Our next flight was meant to have taken off an hour before we even landed.

Neither flight could have food served once we were in the air until the bad turbulence had settled. Even with seatbelts we were leaving the seats constantly. The first leg couldn't serve food until we had passed over Ankara (capital of Turkey). That was a long way into the flight from Heathrow. Got to watch a fantastic thunderstorm somewhere between Taiwan and Indonesia. I saw most of it from above, but we did have to fly into it as well, so it must have been quite big. Hubby was asleep for that section but I couldn't get comfortable or stop coughing.

I'll be quiet over the next few days, off and on whilst I get over this cold and see if I need tu change antibiotics. I've also got to see my Dr for pain meds as usual.

Just glad to be home and able to eat my own food again.

An asian model got edited by AI to look more western and yeah the edited one looks like a different person.

How can we talk about progress when we still make the same mistakes over and over again?

Okay, that's what people were doing in their heads before, but changing ethnicity to make more money is racism
