My response to those who dismiss Trump as a joke is to say, be more worried about the one who follows him, because they will call for the same things, but they will also be smart.
No doubt. Many Republicans were already bigots to begin with but kept it quiet. With people like Trump in office they think it's ok to be vocal about their racist, biased viewpoints.
Bigots always reference God as their source. Jesus never mentioned homosexuality. Strange really, it appears Afghanistan and Iran don't have the monopoly on religious fundamentalists controlling peoples lives.
It gobsmacked me. And how many hypocrites who preach against homosexuality are in the closet?
Before the age of 10 I lived on air force bases. From the age of 10 up until I was in my late 30s (when I met my husband), except for a brief stint when I was away at college, I lived less than 10 miles from an Air Force base. It's encouraged that they fly above 30,000 feet or over rural areas (or open water) but trust, me, it still happens in populated areas.
It's going to be interesting, was watching Republicans yesterday re donald and George. I'm watching!!Oh, he is really pandering to the old white confederate crowd. Can't teach Black Studies as an elective in Florida schools, teachers can't even mention LGBTQ to students. Books about Critical Race Theory and anything LGBTQ are being banned from libraries, and all kind of stuff in the name of "anti-woke." Conservatives are eating it up.
But, the diehard MAGA crowd is mad at him for running against Trump. That could hurt him.

These people also ignore the bit where the New Testement followed by Christians states that its contents replace everything from the old testiment.
