Washing the Fuzzy Dog.........

As the temperature was 39°C this afternoon, He didn't seem to mind it.

That photo brings back memories of Psycho Poodle. That is the universal face of a dog being bathed. Teddy gave me that exact same face when I hosed him down. It was the "Why are you doing this to me" face. Of course, the answer was "because you are dirty and smell bad."

It’s well known over here that Canadians are the civilised Americans, and that my friends is how to annoy both nations, possibly even punch in the face level 😆

The best man at my wedding is Canadian. Trust me, they are actually capable of being a$$ holes under the right circumstances.

At one point in my Lutheran wedding, the bride and I had to kneel for that pastor to bless our union, That means the bottom of my shoes were exposed to the church full of guests. When we knelt, the room full of guests started laughing. After the wedding, I looked at the soles of my shoes, and on the left shoe was written in white shoe polish the letters "HE," and on the sole of the right shoe was "LP"

Ugh, trying to get some medical care for what was diagnosed as a cervicogenic headache years ago. It flares up every few years and if I let it go too long, it’s very debilitating and hard to get back under control.

Since the last time around, I’ve changed doctors, so I messaged last week for a physical therapy referral, and she wrote back that she submitted the referral and to let her know if they hadn’t contacted me by the following week.

No contact, so I messaged her office again and they gave me the number to referral services to call them myself.

Called them. “We don't refer for physical therapy. You need to call central scheduling for that.

Called central scheduling. “We don’t see that referral request anywhere, let me call referral services.” On hold…

Back - “I found the referral request, but your doctor didn’t put a location on it. Let me call your doctor.” - On hold…

Back - “Your doctor didn’t answer, so I left a message for them. Hopefully, they’ll call me or you. Goodbye!”

Messaged my doc to let her know what was going on, and she messaged back asking what location I wanted…without telling me what locations are available.

At this rate, I’ll get scheduled sometime next year.

I know the feeling. I am still waiting for my referral to go though for the spine doctor. I can't get treatment without a referral from my PCP or my insurance won't pay for it.

BTW, I have always been comfortable sleeping on the bed in my sister's guest bedroom -- until now. I do sleep well on that bed, but it takes me about 15 minutes of walking around in the morning before I can stand fully upright.

This getting old 💩 is starting to pi$$ me off.

Sending good vibes. Keep us posted, please. I love seeing all the pics of MrCat.
Well it turns out it was just mr.Cat's thyriod flaring up, he had been managed with special feed the past 3 years but it's not enough anymore so he needs medication. Which has been started today.
He wasn't walking steady because the thyroid issue lowers his blood pressure making him dizzy, and also making him feel faint which explained why he wasn't eating. He probably had been having issues for a while as he'd already lost 2 lbs, but cats only show symptoms when they really can't hide them anymore. He's just eaten his feed with the pill in it, so hopefully he will keep doing that and get his meds with no issues.
He really pounced on his food after the anti nausea meds he got from the vet, and he's been meowing again and was drinking again but is now asleep in his normal spot. So looks like he will still be with us for a while 🤞

Ah so you started that trend?!
Always wondered who thought of that!

So glad your kitty is doing ok!

I’m in a sort of similar boat…I found a lump on my kitty’s tummy, so I took her in and it’s best if we get it removed. Pre-anaesthetic bloodwork showed something possibly wonky with her heart, and a follow-up ultrasound showed cardiomyopathy. She’s now on heart meds to see if we can get it under control and make it safe for her to go under to get the lump removed. She’s only 8.

My other kitty, meanwhile, started throwing up every day and was a little lethargic, so I took her in. Bloodwork showed pancreatitis. Follow up x-ray showed nothing amiss, so I had her in today for an ultrasound. I should get the results on Friday (can everyone please cross their fingers for a good result?). She’s perked up a bit, but still not back to 100%. Poor girl, I just want her to feel better. She’s only 9.

Hope it all pans out well and soon!

As many people here already know, I lost Psycho-Poodle last August to cancer. He was only ten years old. I hope your cats hang in there for many years to come.
