Nashville has voted to return the young black man to his seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives. He apparently has already been sworn back in. Yea!!

Now to see what happens with the other one.

I figured he would be. I'm sure the people who elected him sent a loud and clear message to the people who expelled him that the voters get to decide who is in and who is out.

The perpetrators of these crimes mostly come from good, white middle class families, If they were Isis inspired, or had strange accents then I'm sure action would be taken. As it is the law makers and NRA prefer to take each case in isolation... she was a transexual, that explains it. He had mental health problems, that explains it. He has issues associating with people, that explains it. Well we have people just like that in every country in the World, except we do don't allow them unrestricted access to military grade weapons.... that explains it.

You just nailed it. But, what many people, including Americans, don't understand is that the NRA is a lobbying group for gun manufacturers. They don't care how many people get killed, even children. The NRA represents a $51-billion per year industry group. They are using the poorly written second amendment to make billions of dollars. Innocent men, women, and even children are expendable. In fact, the dead are great for marketing. "Don't let this happen to you, buy a gun NOW!!!"

I guess being in Canada then every trip is a long haul flight for you. The advantage of being in Europe is that you can be in twenty or so countries within a couple of hours.
Yes, very true. In a way, it’s nice though - Canada is so big and so diverse, there’s a lot to see and do within the same country. One of my bucket list items is to visit every province and territory in Canada (I’m only missing Newfoundland, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, and the territories).

A few years back I flew to Vancouver for an international conference. A lot of the attendees were from Europe, and they were absolutely astounded that I could get on a plane, fly for 5 hours, and still be in the same country. Canada’s huge.

I've always wanted to take the train across Canada. I've been to Canada a least 15 times, but pretty much stuck with the same provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and primarily Ontario). Canada is beautiful and love the people I've met while traveling.

Still have a few states in the US I've not visited yet as well.

The amazing thing about (aboot) Canada is that you can get drunk, punch somebody in the face for no reason, and they will apologize to you.

As the temperature was 39°C this afternoon, He didn't seem to mind it.

For those of you not in North America, we in the US make jokes about Canadians... for being so &%$#@ nice.

Punch a Canadian in the face, and he'll say, "Sorry for putting my face in front of your fist."

It’s well known over here that Canadians are the civilised Americans, and that my friends is how to annoy both nations, possibly even punch in the face level 😆
