Oh for certain!Same here, although to be honest I find it difficult to tye when my nails are too long.
I can sympathize. For those that don't know, my job was a lot of typing and research. We went on a long cruise once and I decided to get acrylics right before we left, not terribly long ones, just a bit longer than the longest of my self-grown nails. My nails weren't equal in length because natural nails, as we all know, break from time to time and I wanted to look good on the cruise. After we got home and I went back to work, those nails got cut down to my normal length within hours of my start time.Regarding long nails…when I was working at RAF Alconbury, a young woman who worked for me came to work one day with these incredibly long glued-on nails.
They were kind of a novelty at the time, and nothing in regulations that specifically forbade them, so I told her, “Fine with me…as long as you can do your job.”
Her job involved a lot of network cable-stringing, hooking up/tearing down network components (modems, monitors, disk drives, etc), and associated things.
Guess how long she made it? Not even three hours. She was pulling a modem out of a rack and got two of her long, custom-painted nails caught in the cooling fins on the side, and off they came…and they took her real nails with them, they were glued on so tightly.
No more nails for her!
Yeah, we lost our favourite restaurant at the start of this year. They chose to close down sadly because it had become too much for them what with everything going on in Ukraine (they were Ukrainian). That's one of the main reasons we've hardly eaten out this year. We still miss them, but they've now sold the place so we know they won't come back sadly. We recently discovered a great restaurant called Doms, they do tapas with a modern twist. We have been twice and enjoyed some really great food, however they posted on their Facebook page that due to a dispute with their landlord they have decided to close in January next year, they will honour all bookings but will not be taking any more. Damn
We had the same happen, for the same reason, with our favorite place in Cincy. We recently discovered a great restaurant called Doms, they do tapas with a modern twist. We had a good Korean place that had a similar thing happen. Landlord raised rent sky high so they closed. Building is still vacant over 2 years later...We recently discovered a great restaurant called Doms, they do tapas with a modern twist.
