I hope so, too. Trump left us in a pretty deep hole we now have to struggle to get out of. It all depends on whether we American citizens are willing to make the hard choices to get out of the hole, or decide to keep digging. The biggest challenge is to get people to accept that we can't have tax cuts and increase spending at the same time. Taxes were not that bad under Bill Clinton, when we had a balanced budget. And, sacrifices were made on both sides of the isle. To me, that is fiscal conservatism. Supply-side (trickle-down) economics, favored by Reagan, Bush 2 and Trump isn't going to get us back of sound fiscal footing. You can't have your cake, and eat it, too.
