Unusual sandwich flavor combinations

Unusual depends on where you live and how you were brought up...

I hear people talk about peanut butter jelly sandwiches or blueberry scrambled eggs and to me they are highly unusual !
(Chips on a roll (chip boetie), spaghetti bolognese on bread etc)

Now to think of something I eat on sandwiches that are unusual...
Chili paste, mustard, deep fried onions and boerewors maybe?
But that idea was stolen from Denmark
Scrambled eggs with blueberries on a sandwich are also very unusual for me!

Wife light raspberry jam and banana on toast mashed then sprinkle of cinnamon .
Our son vegemite Sammy's with potato chips.
Me. Beetroot and onion Sammy's. Sweet corn n ham sammys.

What unusual flavor combinations of sandwiches have surprised you and turned out to be delicious?
Hi, I once tried a sandwich with fried chicken, honey, and pimento cheese, and it was amazing! The sweet honey, creamy cheese, and crispy chicken made a perfect combination of flavors and textures. What do you think about this combination? :)

Sounds great! That wouldn’t be out of place at all in the US South, where fried chicken and pimento cheese are well loved.

That's a combo often found in the U.S. southern states. The chicken sometimes is dipped in hot sauce or hot honey.

A LOT of places serve honey or even pancake syrup along side pieces of fried chicken. Some places even add hot sauce to the honey or syrup.
