Ok, given where I am at the moment I can claim some knowledge of this. It is called village salad (only called Greek salad outside of Greek type countries ) and consists, from bottom up, of a dish of shredded lettuce or cabbage (depending on the season) sliced cucumber, sliced onion, quartered tomatoes, cubes of feta. In side dishes come olives, green with stones in, tahini, taramasalata, hummus or garlic potatoes and a bowl of sliced bread. Standard starter to most meals - twice a day for me at the moment! Are anchovies Greek style? I just found that surprising. To me, Greek salad is feta, capers, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes. It could be my ignorance...
