This is an entirely new concept to me! The only recipe I can think of using cooked grapes is Sole Véronique. How intriguing.

If I squint really hard, I can imagine that the cauliflower is really chicken. :giggle:

Ages ago, before kids and when hubby traveled often, an unmarried coworker (who was friends with my also-unmarried aunt) decided she needed to take me to fine restaurants. Needless to say, I did not refuse Bernice's "adopting" me. One of those restaurants had sauteed green grapes with almond slices as a side to a flounder dish. I was gobsmacked, because I had never seen a fruit used in place of a vegetable as a side dish.

Grapes are wonderful if they are roasted, too. A great accompaniment to a pork roast or roast chicken.

Laarb gai. I keep thinking I should make laarb moo (pork) but I had one in a restaurant a few years ago and it was 50% gristle. Put me off.

However, I do remember making a spicy pork salad based upon a beef dish that I'd eaten in a restaurant. It was a while ago and obviously wasn't that good because I've not made another. Maybe I'll revisit the recipe with a view to making a few amendments?

I've found the recipe and even an image.

I can only imagine that I had nothing better to do at the time given the list of ingredients.
