What did you cook or eat today (April 2020)?

Ciao a tutti,
Today Ray ask if I make traditional English roast beef with all trimming. He love what I make but he English after all. It keep me busy an take mind of things. I also going to make him a trifle with fresh strawberry, raspberry, orange an whipped cream I use Viennese Balconi slice in bottom off dish.
I make beef with twist. An I make own rub for meat I post as separate recipe.. I also put five garlic clove inside beef.

Gammon, egg and triple cooked chips, simple but oh so satisfying as a naughty treat! A little pickled cucumber, tomato/onion salad and bbq garlic mayo on the side.

I was digging through my freezer when I found something I had made and frozen in December: Borscht! I was very happy to find that it was just as tasty as I had remembered it.

It's so funny how I have such a short attention span when it comes to making food: whenever I see something I like, I want to drop everything and make it (or make it again in this case), even if I already have ingredients for other things. Thankfully, I'm not that way with my work, otherwise I'd never get anything done!
