For the second shot I used long exposure with the cooker hood lights on. I have no idea of the sequence of the light temperature so I just put the WB on automatic. The result is more yellow than the turmeric is responsible for.

Vegetarian Mexican spaghetti with a sauce made of ground toasted almonds, roasted poblanos, garlic, oregano, spinach and crema. It's been a really long time since we had this and I told Craig we need to make it more often.

Sounds really good.

Biscuit ang tea? You need to take more water with it chap.

Murders, along with most other crime, are very rare in Guernsey, the last one that I can recall was in 2007. Allegedly if the Guernsey police recruit any UK officers they have to be 're-educated' into Guernsey life. Part of the re-education is that minor offences are worth pursuing as their day isn't filled with more serious crimes.

Obviously not everything is rosy, we have our share of Richard Craniums, one of the benefits of a small island is that they are well known to the police so they generally know who has done what.

Had steak 'n mushroom pie again last night. I won't post a pic as did so a few weeks ago.

Had some natural yoghurt left over so sweetened it slightly, chopped up some ripe nanas and added some crushed meringue for dessert.

Has Craig tried smoking a meatloaf, yet. Goooood stuff. Use a cold meatloaf mix so it can go on the grill-grate with no pan. Put a drip pan under it -- it makes a mess without one.

I've been doing Jamie Olivers recipe for years, only difference I do is cook the Rosemary and garlic seperately in olive oil or even better duck fat then strain it and toss the spuds in the oil. He is right, they always come out perfect!
