What did you cook or eat today (April 2020)?

A potatoey, oniony, garlicy, cheesey, creamy thing.

I saw a recipe using quail eggs recently that looked interesting.

I found the recipe again. It's in a book called "Dumplings All Day Wong" by Chef Lee Anne Wong. The meat mixture has an Asian twist and it's wrapped in dumpling dough then deep fried, served with a miso mustard sauce or a black vinegar dipping sauce.

Meatloaf, mashies and green beans. I've always made meatloaf with bread crumbs/panade, but we decided to try oats this time since we had them. Think we'll be making it that way from now on.

Have you posted meatloaf recipe? 50/50 sausage meat and beef mince?
Winter coming up so I'll be onto it.

I just realized that I have been cooking and taking pics but I have not been posting.
:o_o: Dizzy Lizzie has to think. :scratchhead:
My last post was a week ago Thursday. A friend gave us a sack of crawfish. We ate our fill and had a lot left. Put them on ice over night then ate our fill again Friday and peeled the rest.
Saturday
Crawfish Etoufee
When I peel crawfish I carefully remove the fat from the body cavity. Beautiful, golden globules of heavenly richness. The fat MAKES the Etoufee.

Tuesday my first ever chicken curry with beet slaw and buttery wilted beet greens.. Wow! Now I see what you all rave about. Will do again.

And Crawfish Pizza - Still no yeast but I did find a local Pizza shop that sells the raw dough. :woot:SCORE!!
I really overloaded the sauce but I could not help it, it was so good.

Thursday night
Butter baked fish with beets and beet greens. One or two more harvests and my beet crop will be done. The heat is starting to get to the greens.
