For my husbands birthday I made chicken in white wine sauce with mushrooms on request 😊

Brioche with lavender honey, a kiwi and grapes.

My husband got three presents from me this morning, but he didn't want a big celebration because we are doing that next week.
And tomorrow is Easter and we're celebrating that too.

Great to see you back posting food photos again. I take it you are well on the mend now.

Not really - I had a second op on Wednesday because a screw had come adrift from the knee and I'm still hobbling about and unable to stand for very long. That photo was to prove to myself I could still do it. I didn't 'make' any of it really. I got my partner to put the background board on the kitchen counter and then I plonked the plate down. 3 shots in slightly failing light was all I could manage. But its a start!

Oh dear <resists urge to make a joke about how we all knew MG had a screw loose>. Having the want to take care over your food and present it to the World is the important thing. I hope your recovery continues without any further hitches.

Do you get the yellow kiwis? I love them. They were called chinese gooseberries as kids.
Name change for marketing.

I've been just dying for Steak Frites!
Grilled/BBQ'd the Rib Eye Steak and Asparagus and Air Fried the frozen French Fries/Chips ... perfect!
(side note: I always slice our steak, chicken, etc. to make it look like you're getting more meat than you really are - cook's portion control hack  )
I was just watching a fancy-pants cooking show where they went into some really haute cuisine restaurant and the chef actually said that frozen French Fries/Chips were the best
Love these things!!! 7 - 9 minutes - done!
