What did you cook or eat today (April 2023)?

My flatmate in Sydney is obsessed with this super creamy mild blue cheese and buys in whole wheels of it. About 1.8kg at a time. It freezes ok if packed correctly and thawed in the fridge. It’s called “Shadows of Blue”

Last week I picked 3kg of very tart apples off a random tree on the access road to the vineyard and today I made 10 jars of apple chilli jelly. I’ll probably sell some of it at markets.

And this morning we had smoked fish for breakfast - not religious here but it’s a nod to my Dad who was raised Catholic.

I used to love "crab" apples as a kid. I probably still would if I could get them.
 
My pregnant goddaughter is visiting, with her husband and her teen sister that they are raising.

Went with a mediterranean theme for dinner.

Hot seafood dishes - octopus braised in red wine, tomato & garlic plus a prawn and mussels meat dish based on a saganaki recipe.
A Warrigal greens & cheese pie
Pan roasted radish w/ preserved lemon yogurt
Olives
Salad
Domade
Bread

The radish dish is a winner. I’ll post it at some point.
