I found some ham and eggs in my sister's fridge when I got up yesterday morning. No potatoes, but she did have some shredded cheese.

Gammon, egg, and chips is a common pub meal in the UK, and probably MrsT’s favorite dish to have with a pint.

When I make this at home, since we start with a fully cooked baked ham, I call this…wait for it… “Ham ‘n’ egg and chips.” :roflmao:

One of my favorite Italian/American dishes is Sausage and Peppers. Italian sausage, onions and bell peppers. Some crusty bread on the side is optional.

I like the addition of the peppers, that would make it tasty enough to eat on it‘s own but without the peppers it would be too much for me. Like a hotdog that lost its roll and sauces 😆
That reminds me Mr SSOAP wants to try currywurst. I like the history of the dish but the actual dish itself I’m not so sure. Curry flavoured ketchup doesn’t sound a lot to write home about!

I only use ketchup for burgers - pork or beef, not fish or chicken.

I would be reluctant to use a curry flavoured ketchup.
No ketchup on chips? I vary between plain with salt, malt vinegar, or occasionally ketchup.

Not sure about curry ketchup because I've never tried it. Maybe.

Rather have mayonnaise and Bullseye original BBQ sauce with chips. Usually nestled next to each other on the plate so as you swipe the chip across one end has mayo on it and the other bbq 😆

Tomato ketchup I use but usually as an ingredient, can’t do a Marie Rose without it and I really like that sauce. Might put a bit on a burger maybe but the burger layers have to be fairly segregated because lettuce with tomato ketchup.. blurgh 🤣

For me chips either have salt and vinegar (particularly with fish or fish cakes), only salt or in certain circumstances, salt and gravy. Never mayonnaise.

Marie Rose sauce, generally for prawns et al, I just add a little tomato puree and tabasco sauce to mayonnaise.

Ketchup on burgers? For me it would be a layer of ketchup, fresh chopped chillis, chopped onion and garlic (sometimes) then some grass before adding the beef/pork patty. I may then add a fried egg. I have added various other items in the past (daikon, tomatoes, pickles/piccalilli, gherkins, salsa) but never cheese.

Yeah, I am not fond of mayonnaise on fries, or mixed with ketchup except for on a burger. I put mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, bacon, cheese, and sometimes lettuce and tomato on a burger so the ketchup isn't interfering with that lettuce, there's too much going on.

If the fries are cooked right, plain with salt is the best. Condiments are to mask soggy, limp, or undercooked fries.

But you primarily make pork burgers, right? Cheese and pork would be weird. Beef burgers with cheese are delicious. In my opinion anyway.
