Sunday roast today, don't have them very often these days. Roast beef with weapons grade roasties.

oh, and The OMWC what did you think once you looked up Lau Lau?
I could have it overnighted to us as well, but it costs more for the postage than the product!
I'll wait until we make it either to California or Las Vegas, where I can get them frozen, rather fresh like last nights dinner, but beggars can't be choosers.

The OMWC you could make vegetarian Luau I'd think.
Why yes you can!
Spinach Luau
I knew I had eaten this before, loved Down To Earth back in the day.
<edit: I forgot to mention that "Luau" is made usually with Taro Leaves, but I can't get those here in Cowboyville>
I can likely get taro leaves when I'm next in Buffalo... the first recipes I found used a fish and pork mix wrapped in leaves, which made me think, "Yeaaaaaah, no." Your linked recipe looks more like a soup?

Could you use banana leaves? They basically serve the same purpose, to seal in moisture and flavor. We can get them frozen in the ethnic part of the regular grocery freezer section, or fresh in the bigger Latin markets, which you don't have of course.
