Lots of very large prawns and chicken throughout a large box of very hot noodles, very happy.

Took Mom to her beautification and then out for linner (late lunch/early dinner) to a new to us soup-salad-sandwich local joint ...

... Mom had a Turkey BLTA and a cup of today's soup special-Clam Chowder ... she said that the Tomato actually had taste and it was GOOD!

For Moi: thinly sliced Roast Beef with melted Provolone and a toasted Hoagie Roll and a side cup of Chicken & Andouille Sausage Gumbo - also very good, albeit a bit spicy for us. I asked if they put Okra in the Gumbo, "oh yes ma'am!"
As I was taking Mom back to her apartment she said, "Let's go there again, I really liked that place and it's cheaper than our other sandwich place."
True dat MA!!!
Tomorrow's soup special is Chicken & Dumplings, one of Mom's favorites...

As we were about to leave I decided that I'd get a cup of their third soup of the day to take home for later ...

Cheddar Broccoli - YUM!!!
I had told DH that I didn't think that this joint would be for him, since he doesn't really care for our other sandwich place, but both Mom & I now think other wise! The selection is vast!

That works with potatoes too! In the summer when it gets swamp but* hot I eat lots of potato salad. 🥔
