They are really good, we buy from a not so local butcher, their stuff is really good. We also bought a gammon joint for tomorrows dinner, beef sausages and faggots.
This evening we are off to a Turkish restaurant :thumbsup:
 
Is there anything on the base of the pastry?
Nope, I love savory fig tarts with a cheese base, Mrs Blank refuses to eat hot cheese with anything. I have a good slice of picante Gorgonzola in the fridge, so I will have a wedge with the tart.
Nb Mrs Blank is making Burek tomorrow with hand pulled filo pastry. I will post pics
 
Properly made Cuban sandwiches. The last couple of times we've gotten them out have been disappointing even though both places were good prior to COVID. It seems to be a growing trend here that restaurants.are skimping on ingredients. Do they think people won't notice? Craig got a pork butt to roast just so we could get decent sammies.
