Fig, feta & redcurrant tart (with honey drizzle). Redcurrants from the garden.

Today's meal was a couple sandwiches, - honey ham with provolone on Russian rye bread. The sandwich included horseradish mustard, Romaine lettuce, onion and tomato too. On the side, I included cucumber slices and cubes of Monterey pepper jack cheese.

Rye flour dipped deep fried sardines, the almost last of the chicken leek carrot soup, plain white rice. Cucs.
Kid totally loves the sardines. I had a pic of plated lunch, but it is not very interesting😄. Neither is this one, but informatively 🤷😊.

Sardines are very popular here as are most canned fishes.

This is the canned fish aisle at our local supermarket.
