I'd love to try that, we have a first in Chch a Taco Bell in 6 months.

Taco Bell is nothing like their food, not even close. I don't think they even have ground meat tacos on their menu. Taco Bell has its place, but it's the equivalent of McDonald's or Burger King, and certainly not real Mexican food.

I'll try it like the rest of Chch. Folks say tony Roma's ribs are crapola, but I went most days in Hawaii.

I haven't been for years but Tony Roma's ribs in Bangkok were excellent.

In fact, it's more than 10 years since I was even in Bangkok!

Leftover bean and ham soup. I’m glad I made this, it is perfect for the weather we are having. I don’t need to cook anything, which is good since I only have electricity for about 40 minutes at a time, and my stove and oven or electric.

I believe Tony Roma’s started in Dallas, or somewhere in Texas. There aren’t many around anymore. They became the Applebees of ribs. Very mediocre.

it was one of those cases where a restaurant started off good, got successful, and the food turned to crap. Maybe they just got too big too fast.

CD

By the way, there are a ton of places to get ribs in Dallas, and about 10% of them make really good ribs. Most of them make really mediocre ribs.

if you are ever coming to Dallas and want to eat barbecue, please contact me first. There is some good barbecue here, and a lot of bad barbecue here.

I guess it’s like that with any food in any country or city, you need to ask the locals.

Limited time to cook today, thus I’ve made a quick Mozzarella in Purgatory

I've never heard of that before. It looks absolutely volcanic, like the primordial ooze when the Earth first solidified from space dust 4.5 billion years ago.

It also looks very tasty.

Thank you. Yep, you made the idea just perfectly since 'in Purgatory' is referred to another dish we have here called 'Eggs in Purgatory' - referring to the fact that the white eggs, sorrounded by the red tomato sauce, look like the Purgatory’s damned souls, wrapped in flames.
Same thing for mozzarella.
