I thought that too. For me, they don't go together. But I also think that about mushrooms and tomatoes yet I know there are a few Indian dishes which include both.
I quite often serve a salad of neatly arranged thinly sliced tomato, cucumber & red onion with a fish sauce/Chilli/ lime/ sugar dressing topped with crushed peanuts as a side to other Thai or Viet meals.

I was getting 5 packs on sale for a while last year on clearance prices. My son adores instant noodles. We got some of the XX spicy 🌶 that were crazy hot.
I can go years without eating them, then I’ll buy a couple of packs because I know I have a busy week ahead, and then I’m addicted and it’s all I want to eat, every meal!

Yep - I think "hash" is an apt description. Still, doesn´t matter what you call it, it´s how good it tastes, and "hash" for breakfast is just the best.
Starting the breakfast potatoes with a bit of red bell pepper and onion. I'll add some chopped mushrooms in a bit, they tend to cook more quickly than everything else.

Added mushrooms and a few leftover cooked root vegetables with some chicken drippings.

Simple chicken legs and potatoes, baked.

A new kind of muffins from a new cookbook. My mom got it with the order that I placed online for her, while we were still in isolation. She said she needs it not, so gave it to me. A bunch of interesting, modern recipes. I twisted those muffins into a cross of banana bread and walnut muffins, using what I had on hand. I will have to wait for kid to return home, to give it a taste test.

Restarting work at the workplace, instead of the online from home, from tomorrow. I hope fatigue does not wear me completely out with commute and all. Fingers crossed, feeling good so far...
