What did you cook or eat today (February 2022)

I'll do this during the week or wife will say " what the hell you doing that for ,ya weirdo" lol
We have a long weekend here being Monday is waitangi weekend.

If she ate it she'd be hooked. Sometimes I mix in some chopped ham and let it get crispy along with the potatoes. Cook the potatoes in some bacon grease and serve it with some bacon strips on the side and she'll be all over it.

I really can't get my head around it.
I picked up the habit first time I went to the US, back in 1973! Love, but love potatoes for breakfast.
In my house they ´re known as YMCA potatoes, and you can chuck anything you like in there; onions, spring onions, bacon, red peppers, etc.
 
Happy to report I am feelingbetter. I got back to eating normal quantities...
I was worried so got into the store with the idea that whatever catches my interest, I will buy it and eat it. Simple potato chips and the local spicy salami did the trick. I could taste the saltiness and the spiciness, the other flavours not yet.
However, I am happy I could eat two toasts etc...

I did meat patties, pork and beef, mixed salad, pasta today. It awas not elaborate as I was in a bit of a rush. Was meeting a friend whom I have not seen over 10 years, she lives in Belgium now, for the last many years...it was a nice meet up.

My good spirits and optimism are back to and I am so grateful. My blood pressure is stabile. I am lucky.

That's why I call it a hash, I don't know if that's how the word was intended to be used, but it's a mish mash hodge podge that only has it's foundations in potatoes. Anything goes, baby!
 
We had chicken cordon bleu last night for dinner with wild rice and asparagus. Quite good!

I just had some Ahi tuna hand rolls with sushi rice and lots of wasabi. A couple nights ago we had seared Ahi tuna steak sandwiches with wasabi mayo. Hubby had a small segment he didn't eat because it wouldn't fit on the sandwich bun (it was hanging over the edges of the bun even after he trimmed it back), so I decided to make a hand roll. And then another. And another. I am full now and my nose is running!
