It did make me cough a couple of times.

Nothing beats having a bunch of buffalo wing sauce simmering in a saucepan and then taking a deep breath..... Then dying.
I’ve made this mistake while helping my parents make brine for pickles…legit thought I might be dying for a second there!

Wasn't hugely impressed with this recipe. I've no idea what the 10 voters saw in it for all 10 to give it 5 stars. I guess they aren't used to food with flavour, or spices or even vaguely tasty. It was however fresh if only that.

It's a cold soup. We'll finish it tomorrow, but the recipe has already gone into the recycling!

I'm try 'doctoring' it tomorrow.

Curious - I just had this same reaction on another foodie site. Beware what you see on websites, because these days, anyone can post a recipe or write a blog and get all their friends and buddies to endorse it. Unfortunately, their tastebuds are inexistent and they have this warped self-confidence which makes them feel that everything they cook is delicious - when actually, it´s dire.
As a general rule, I like to surf through a dozen or so recipes before I ever decide (I´m sure you do , too) and tend to stick to "tried and tested" if possible, or well-known sources. Even that, though, can go wrong. A friend of mine said I just HAD to try courgette polpettes, by Hugh Fearnley Whateverhisname, because they were SOOOO good. Followed the recipe to a T. Dull, tasteless, appalling. Put me off his stuff for life!

I really should have spotted the clues such as
6 large basil leaves, 2 tsp chopped parsley and 5 mint leaves between 4 servings. I rarely if ever follow herbs and spice quantities, just their ratio, usually doubling most things. Even taking a handful of each, I still didn't get much of anything from it sadly and my herbs were fresh from the garden 5 minutes earlier.

We've got several excellent cold soups that we routinely fall back to and this was similar to one of our favourites, but it's edible is all I'll say. I'm just working out how to improve on it for tomorrow...
