Apple & Butternut Squash Soup with Croissant Croutons (which are super crisp and flaky!)

Yum. You have caused me to add croissants to the food order for tomorrow! 😆

Gluten free croissants (that I have to eat) aren’t worth the bother. The Sainsburys Taste the Difference gluten free ones are alright but certainly not a croissant as you know it and are quite dry so I don’t bother with those either.. but being dry I bet they make excellent crispy croutons! Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks 🤩

Salad with orange vinaigrette, apples, toasted almonds, and dried cranberries:

That was meant to have oranges on it, and I peeled and supremed the only orange I had, and partway through, realized it was using the same knife I’d been dividing up raw beef and raw pork with earlier.

Oops

So playing catch up.

Been a boring weekend on the food front...

Saturday lunch

Saturday evening meal, yet I woke during the night that hungry I couldn't get back to sleep for over an hour, until I gave up, made a sandwich and ate it. Then I was asleep in minutes! All the veg came from the veg plot.

There's Palestinian upside down rice cake in there, with veggie balls, mini courgettes, various beans and warrigal greens (also from the veg plot).

A snack hubby requested (dairy free ice cream, with mango and passionfruit coulee)

Sunday evening meal (Mughluba or Palestinian upside down rice from the freezer), a small helping of garden peas and a mini jacket potato with veggie balls (hubby had to finish my plate. I couldn't).
