What did you cook or eat today (January 2025)

I never heard or felt anything break when I fell 7 years ago. I took a huge lump of skin out of my knee (old 50p size) right to the bone. I was more concerned about that and infection to appreciate exactly how many broken ribs I actually had. X-ray said a possible 2, but when things didn't settle (and I didn't believe the x-ray figure) I had a bone scan done. Part way through the scan the technician came through and asked me exactly how many broken ribs did they think I had. I told him I thought it close to 6 or 7 going by how many places hurt. He asked us I would allow him to test how good their new machine was, no extra cost. He confirmed 12 breaks across 11 ribs and said it was probable there were actually 13 breaks in total.

On the bright side, it did confirm why I was in so much pain!

Hope you feel better soon.
Sounds painful. I fell 8 months ago. Sprained my medial lateral. Bruised my ACL. Lump almost as big as a baseball on my forehead. Sprained wrist. We certainly don’t recover like we did when we were young.

Chicken salad…salad for MrsT

Salami ‘n’ stuff for me.

Made Austrian Beef Stew with Paprika and Caraway over polenta, green beans with EVOO, walnuts and dried cranberries. I used the Hungarian Paprika (regular and hot, the recipe used both) we bought this past summer in Hungary. Delicious. I loved the finishing fresh dill.

Chicken salad and crackers, which wasn't planned, but our boy pug had tummy issues, not eating or drinking all day yesterday, so I had to make him some chicken and rice. I know what caused it and he's off treats of plain cheeseburgers from BK from now on. I was thinking about taking him to the vet since he wasn't drinking, but then he decided to drink shortly after we got up, and we had to stop him from drinking too much. He's been getting small amounts of chicken and soupy rice since about noon and he is doing fine, except now we have unpleasant smells wafting around ever so often. :yuck:

We made 36 meat samosas yesterday before heading south to an air b and b house in ashburton. My wife did a favour for someone who gave us a free2 nights. When we got there we had g and ts and a whiskey (her) kfc for tea. The lady stocked the fridge with all sorts of goodies. I had beautiful coffee and home made marmalade. I stopped at a mobil station and got us Sammy's for lunch.
Tea?? Undecided yet as it's only 1pm.here.

Pippi does that and when she farts with a noise she'll start and look at her tail and then run to the other side of the room like who was that???
